Organic, blanched IQF 3/8" diced Onion, Spanish Yellow variety.

Description
Product is prepared from clean, organically grown, sound spanish onions, which have been processed following good manufacturing practices, and under sanitary conditions. Onions are washed, cored, peeled and diced into 3/8" pieces; after which they are drained, sorted and frozen blanched into "IQF" (individually quick frozen) free flowing product.

Physical Specifications
Color/Appearance: Onions will be free flowing and a bright, practically white, uniform color.

Size: Individual units shall be diced to approximately 3/8" by 3/8" by 3/8" in size and the presence of units of other sizes shall be minimal enough as to not effect the product appearance.

Skin: 1.2" square of skin per sixteen (16) ounce sample.

Minor Defects: No more than 6 total minor defects will be present in product per sixteen (16) ounce sample.

Major Defects: No more than 2 surface cors [units] and no more than 3 major blemishs [units] will be present in the product per sixteen (16) ounce sample.

Packaging & Storage
IQF 3/8" Onions are packed in poly-lined corrugated cartons or corrugated totes. Product will be stored and shipped at 0 degrees F or below.
